New York Hilton Midtown

NHSMUN 2019 will take place at two main venues: the New York Hilton Midtown and the United Nations Headquarters, both in New York City. All conference participants are required to stay at the New York Hilton, with the exception of New York City schools desiring to commute to and from the conference. Committee sessions, presentations, and conference activities take place at the Hilton, sometimes running until 11:00 PM or midnight (ask us about our overnight crisis committee sessions!). For this reason, all participants, chaperones, and staff stay at the Hilton, creating an immersive environment for everyone involved. NHSMUN has the benefit of a hotel in a wonderful location with endless opportunities for delegates.

The New York Hilton Midtown is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, very close to the city’s main attractions and popular destinations. Steps away from Central Park and Times Square, it is easy to enjoy the uniquely cosmopolitan experience of New York City. Just like our staff volunteers, the Hilton staff is ready to cater to our participants' needs. The options for tasty meals are endless: from quick grab-and-go meals to higher-end dinners, the location of the New York Hilton Midtown offers countless different possibilities and will enhance your experience at NHSMUN. There are dozens of very affordable restaurants, cafes, shops, and food establishments in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (within very short walking distance).

Instructions for making hotel reservations at the discounted group rate are released to all accepted groups in the fall. As will be explained in the Reservations Instructions Packet, you will need to submit a Rooming List for your school listing the dates of arrival/departure and the name of each room occupant. Please do not attempt to make your reservations until the instructions are released. Reservations will be submitted through NHSMUN's hotel team ( The Hilton will direct all reservation requests to the NHSMUN team.

The NHSMUN Hilton rates are per room, per night, and are based on type of room. For those looking to extend their stay for tourism or sightseeing, these rates are also available in the days preceding and following the conference. On average, when space is maximized, rates work out to be approximately $100 per person per night. Individual delegates should expect to pay this amount ($100 per night).

NHSMUN group rates are accompanied by flexible change and cancellation policies, and they include premium wireless internet access throughout the hotel, both in the sleeping rooms and the meeting rooms (rare for New York City!), as well as private overnight security and other group benefits. The prices do not include a porterage fee and sales tax, if applicable. Hotel reservations are made directly through NHSMUN, and you will work with one dedicated contact person who will manage your reservations. You will be able to pay all conference-related fees through one singular invoice and route all requests (rooms or otherwise) through the NHSMUN team. United Nations Headquarters (availability permitting)

Located on 1st Avenue between 42nd and 48th Streets, the United Nations Headquarters overlooks the East River. NHSMUN often hosts its opening or closing ceremonies of the conference at the United Nations Headquarters. Please note that sessions are subject to availability of space at the United Nations. Meetings and sessions of the United Nations understandably take precedence over Model United Nations conferences.
